“We, the undersigned, support the protection of scenic, environmentally and historically sensitive areas throughout the town. We oppose a zoning change from residential to a commercial zone along Route 22, from north of the Pawling Village line to the Dover Town line. We respectfully urge you to protect this Greenway, which includes a Critical Environmental Area with historical significance, the National Park’s Scenic Appalachian Trail, The Great Swamp, Pawling Nature Reserve and an important drinking water aquifer.”
